Privacy policy

Who we are

Novalyn (“we”, “us”) develops the Novalyn browser extension and this website. You can reach us at support.novalyn@gmail.com.

What the extension stores (on your device)

Novalyn keeps the following in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). It is not transmitted to us:

• the listings you import from your own Vinted wardrobe, and their statuses;
• your relist history, archived backups and sales/costs records;
• your settings (language, theme, delays, automation rules);
• your licence state and a random per-install identifier used to tie a licence to an install;
• a running count of how many relists you have completed (your free-trial counter).

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling it.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension contains no analytics, no telemetry and no advertising identifiers. It does not send your listings, your Vinted session, your browsing activity or any personal data to us or to any third party. The marketing website counts aggregate page views and store clicks, and nothing else — see Site visits below.

Licence keys

Paid licences use an offline signed key. When you paste a key, the extension verifies its signature locally using a public key built into the extension. That check involves no network request; the key itself is stored on your device so the extension keeps working offline.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. When you check out, Stripe collects the information needed to take payment (such as your name, email address and card details) and handles it as an independent controller/processor under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information needed to fulfil your purchase (for example your email address and which plan you bought). We never see or store your card number.

Vinted

Novalyn works with the Vinted page you already have open and signed in to, talking to Vinted on your behalf within your own session. That traffic is between you and Vinted and is governed by Vinted's own terms and privacy policy. We are not a party to it and never receive it.

How we use information from the browser

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Novalyn's use of information received from the browser and from the pages it runs on is limited to the purpose for which it was provided: showing you your own Vinted listings and relisting the ones you select. Specifically, and in line with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, we do not:

• sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties, except as needed to provide the feature you asked for or as required by law;
• use or transfer your data for purposes unrelated to Novalyn's single purpose;
• use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
• use or transfer your data for personalised advertising, or give it to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers;
• let humans read your data — there is no server and no staff who could;
• read, store or transmit anything from a Vinted page other than the listings, photos and prices the tool needs to do its job;
• send your data anywhere at all — the extension has no server and no telemetry, so your listing data never leaves your device.

Any transfer of your data to a third party is limited to what is necessary to provide the feature you asked for (a purchase handled by Stripe, for example) or to comply with the law. You can read Google's own wording of these rules in the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. There is no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to: no cookie, no local storage and no identifier that survives your visit.

Site visits

The website counts aggregate page views and clicks on the Chrome Web Store links, so we can tell which page and which button actually help. That is the whole of it: no cookies, no personal data, no advertising and no profile of an individual visitor. The counts come from Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that stores aggregate numbers rather than a record of people. Nothing is shared with ad networks or data brokers.

This applies to the website only. The extension itself has no analytics, as described above.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. If you have contacted us by email, that correspondence is processed by our email provider and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top will change when we do. If a future version of the extension were ever to send data off your device, we would say so here and in the extension before it happened.
